On Sunday, July 1st Spirit of Hope will celebrate America’s Independence with a community barbecue and Red, White, and Blue themed festival.  From the time church was out until after 3 PM there was music, food, and fun for all who came.  In addition to church members, there were friends from the neighborhood, other churches, other parts of Southern California, and as far away as Nebraska all in attendance.  A total of 200 hot dogs and hamburgers were served with chips, homemade potato salad (Thanks Dawn for making it!), and cookies with choice of water, tea, and lemonade to drink.  If the food table didn’t fill you up, freshly popped popcorn and cotton candy were available for snacking as well.
